This week's picks for Hamburg

Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li get pulled into the World Warrior Tournament, a brutal clash of fists that hides a deadly conspiracy, and it plays in English here in Hamburg. Director Kitao Sakurai keeps the action kinetic, with Andrew Koji and David Dastmalchian anchoring the cast. If you want momentum and fights that hit hard, this is the one to catch.

Dakota Johnson plays a ghostwriter who slips into the private notes of best-selling author Verity Crawford, played by Anne Hathaway, and finds a story she was never meant to read. Director Michael Showalter keeps it sleek and seductive, with Josh Hartnett rounding out a cast built for a night of secrets and second-guessing. It is the kind of mystery that has you whispering theories to each other long after the credits.

This charming, witty story of love and sisterhood comes from director Georgia Oakley and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones. It is a live action drama and romance rated PG, so it is comfortable for adults and older kids together, and it is showing across several screenings this week, making it easy to plan around. It holds 79% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.2 on IMDb.
